HUD Secretary Highlights Faith-Based Contributions To Combat Homelessness

WASHINGTON - belief-based organizations are making a huge difference in the Bush Administration’s efforts to slacken up on homelessness, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban growth Secretary Steve Preston said today. Addressing the White abode National Faith-Based and Community Initiatives Conference, Preston highlighted the administering’s partnership with conviction-based and community organizations and steps being taken to reduce dyed in the wool homelessness, first surrounded by veterans.
"The Faith-Based and Community hustle combines the strengths of the out of the closet and reserved sectors to make our social programs work best," said Preston. "There is a vast, network of partnerships between HUD, limited communities and nonprofit organizations around the country. These partnerships are incredibly operative in helping to abate the number of persons who are calling the streets their conversant with."
